Make us a commercial! Get exposure, merch and our eternal love

Each year POP Montreal seeks out exciting new bands from around the world and this year we need you. Calling all filmmakers: young and old, students or pros, companies or the girl next door, experienced or not, to submit a short video to encourage bands to apply for the 2012 fest! As your sweet videos roll in a selection will preview on POP Montreal and our extensive social networks and one lucky commercial will be chosen as the official POP Montreal 2012 play at POP commercial.

What else does this mean?  The selected filmmaker will get a feature profile on popmontreal.com, will be credited on all outlets where the commercial is hosted and be included in the official press release. The commercial will be featured on popmonteal.com, POP’s Twitter (15,000+ followers), POP’s Facebook (9800+ on Page & Group), POP’s Youtube Channel and POP’s tumblr. The filmmaker will also receive a POP Montreal mystery prize back (retail value approx. $90) with cool swag.

How to apply: Upload your video to youtube (or your choice of host) and send a private link to  melanie@popmontreal.com, subject POP Video Contest 2012.

Winner: Will be chosen by POP staff and announced April 19, 2012
