The journalistic vultures I was referrring to certainly didn't include the present company, excuse me if I created that impression. MY issue, aside from the beatles thing, was that this band, is going to get mountains of press, and was it really necc to  review the disc ( however intelligent te review, which it was) since the same day an obscure but very talented local band (besnard lakes) also released a new disc.

AF are indeed a phenomena (deservedly & not) because of their ability to capture some intangible that just clicks for many people. The unfortunate thing is that their art looses something when is falls into the mass media blender, until new flesh and blood is needed to satiate our collective ... this is getting out of hand... but hopefully it makes a degree of sense.

& I just found out The B lakes album came out in feb, so you can pretty much disregard most of this... foot in mouth etc... my friend K thought some of the lyrics on Neon Bible were not up to snuff... i didnt notice any clunkers.... how bout you...?
