Getting Around

There are many options when it comes to getting around Montréal during the festival. Here are several options to best suite your needs, whatever they may be.

Public Transit
Getting around by bus and metro(train) is a great way to travel affordably and see the city.  Metro operating hours are Monday to Friday and Sunday from 5:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., and Saturday from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. The average wait time between trains is eight minutes and three minutes during rush hour. For more information about public transportation in Montreal, please visit Montreal's public transit website.

Bicycle
There are numerous bike rental services in Montreal to suite a variety of cyclist's needs. If you are looking for short term rentals(30 minutes or less at a time to quickly get from point A to B), check out the amazing BIXI system, currently in it's second year. If you would like to rent a bike for a day to do some site seeing, or for your entire time in Montreal, look into the Velo Quebec rental list or check out our new POP Montreal bike rental system.

On Foot
Many, if not most, of the venues used for POP Montreal are within walking distance of one another. Walking is a great way to see Montreal and take in the city's vast array of shops, restaurants and parks -- and trust us, there are lots of gems!

Taxi
By Taxi It's not hard to flag down a taxi in Montreal, especially if you are at a hotel. But if you need to call one: Taxi Diamond (514-273-6331) and Taxi Co-op (514-725-9885) are two companies.
