Canada's grant programs offer great potential for artists' career development.  This workshop will be offered in an open setting where artists are encouraged to drop in for personal consultations with a team of representatives from funding bodies, who will scrutinized and critique artists' projects in a one-on-one dialogue. Representatives of the Conseil des arts de Montréal's youth intervention program "Outiller la relève", SODEC, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, and  FACTOR, among others, will be present, armed with informative materials and advice on how artists can analyze their career development needs, how these needs are addressed in existing programs, and how to approach the financial assistance granted by the various programs while maintaining a healthy level of independence.
