DEEP END – POOL SCREENING!
Jerzy Skolimowski | GB/Allemagne de l’Ouest |1970 | 90 min.

Sponsored by the Goethe-Institut

23 SEPT, 15h30, TRYLON APARTMENTS POOL

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A SCREENING WITH THE AUDIENCE IN A POOL, THERE IS NO SEATING OUTSIDE OF THE POOL ITSELF, SO BATHING SUITS ARE REQUIRED!

Please bring your own flotation devices – tubes, noodles or water-wings! Contrary to the film’s title, the pool is not very deep, but you don’t want to be treading water for 90 minutes!

Teenager Mike (John Moulder-Brown) gets a job at a run-down public pool and quickly becomes enamoured with his more experienced co-worker (Jane Asher, who first came to notoriety as Paul McCartney’s ’60 s beau). In between dodging advances from sketchy cougars (including the amazing Diana Dors) his obsession with his co-worker escalates to dangerous proportions. The music of Can and Cat Stevens brilliantly underscores this recently-restored dark drama. Bring your bathing suits, because for this special screening, the audience will be in the pool!

Extremely limited admission, get your tickets early!
