Teenage Guitar prodigy Jason Becker got his first break when he was invited to join Cacaphony with a pre-Megadeth Marty Friedman. With his neo-classical speed metal guitar aptitude and obvious stage presence attracting notice from industry headhunters, he was recruited for David Lee Roth’s band following Steve Vai’s departure — the most coveted guitar gig at the time. But Jason never made it on tour: shortly after recording the album, he was diagnosed with ALS and given five years to live. Archival footage of Jason’s rise to almost-stardom is given the exposure it deserves with this inspiring, odds-defying rock doc.
