James Benjamin

James Benjamin is one of the owners of Breakglass Studios, where he works as a music producer, Grammy winning mixer and composer and serves as the host of Live Analog Dance Rhythms. In 2020 he co-wrote the soundtrack for AAA video game Ancestors the Human Kind Odyssey, and wrote original soundtracks for the Canadian Centre for Architecture and the Salon du Livre de Montreal. His exhibition; Ecological Ambisonic Recording 001 also premiered at the Never Apart Gallery and with his analog dance duo Boogieman and Samito and 4 piece experimental electronic ensemble Porto Porto! he played Mutek Montreal edition 21 and Mutek Japan x Mexico’s virtual edition respectively. In March 2020, James alongside partners Ian Cameron and Guillaume Sabourin launched TRANSMISSION MTL, a new and immersive Montreal based portal for the digestion of audio visual artistic work.
