Montreal, QC

Line Grenier is Professor at the Département de communication of the Université de Montréal, where she teaches predominantly in the areas of research methodology, media theory, memory and media, and popular culture. A popular music studies scholar, her work has been focused on the intersections of music, memory and ageing for nearly a decade. In the context of the international research project ACT (Ageing, Communication, Technology), she has been involved in a collaborative ethnography of a music contest for seniors and in digital music workshop with older adults. Her current projects concern deaf cultures of ageing and, more specifically, the musical experiences of deaf adult signers in Montréal.
