From Montreal

JG is a Montreal based, non-binary visual artist, writer, and silkscreen printmaker whose process has been formed through the time lapse of self-directed and non-institutionalized practice. For POP, they will be presenting a large-scale arrangement of paintings thematically based on the active socialite performativity and fashion of the late 1970s through the 1980s. The paintings are a reflection on the theatrics and cultural forming of an alternative to normative behavior, through the electricity of a speakeasy, disco, or cabaret.
