Nabil Azab

From Montreal

Nabil Azab is a visual artist born in Paris, now working and living in Montreal. His practice plays with the confines of the photographic frame to pursue projects which question the role of the photograph as ‘purveyor of truth.’ While often intervening in the photographic object itself, his practice uses elements of text and performance that expand and play with the multitude of narratives inherently offered by the images. The final result suggests a new world where images have a mind of their own.
