For the first time, POP Symposium will include a series of face-to-face sessions focused on providing musicians and music industry from underrepresented communities with direct access to grant funding bodies. These events aim to “meet artists where they are” and provide tailored information on how best to access music grant programs, as well as offering a critical opportunity for participants to ask questions in an intimate and unintimidating setting. Representatives from FACTOR, Musicaction, SOCAN Foundation, Conseil des Arts de Montréal, Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec, the Service de la Culture de la Ville de Montréal, Conseil des Arts du Canada will be present to discuss their grant programs and provide resources for how to apply for funding for your own projects.
