Infos

Opening Night, this year's Art POP group exhibition, explores the space and history of the Rialto Theatre to weave together instances of Drama. Opening Night roots Drama in its theatrical underpinnings and brings to the gallery heightened and performative emotions, staged installation, dissonant confessions and conflicting points of view.

In this exhibition, Drama makes its case as a dualistic force that is political, interpersonal, high-stakes and at the same time frivolous, histrionic, ostentatious. Opening Night draws these seemingly oppositional forces into proximity in order to present Drama at its most climactic - demanding our attention as it reaches its final act.

Curated by Hugo Dufour and Bronson Smillie
