Colin founded Halifax's 7" label Cinnamon Toast Records, managed Sloan's Murderecord and founded Perimeter Entertainment with business partner/entertainment lawyer Chip Sutherland. Colin managed the careers of the group JALE, The Superfriendz, Thrush Hermit and Neko Case and continues to manage Jazz drummer Jerry Granelli. Colin has sat on the board of directors for artist run centers and the East Coast Music Awards and been a jury member for The JUNO Awards and for FACTOR.
