WNWHLWFF is the second work of an ongoing project titled G=A=R=D=E=N. The series speculates on the idea of “habitat” in the context of technological acceleration and urban sprawl. It incorporates interactive poetry, imagined organisms, with repurposed obsolete technology and e-waste. WNWHLWFF is about dwelling in such an accelerated future of landscapes, where the imposed rhythms of existing are bent for a pause or a reflection.

An interview with Xuan Ye will also be broadcasted by the XX Files pirate radio every day at the Rialto Complex!

Situated in an era of abundant access to digital images, and imminent environmental collapse, Landscape Past Future proposes a re-thinking of landscape paintings through the lens of data-aggregation technologies. Using large institutional datasets filtered via metadata search terms and machine-learning techniques, new landscape paintings are created by aggregating historically significant works in digital mosaics.
