Ed Horrox played the Viola in orchestras, string quartets and rock bands until his A&R career began as a Manchester based A&R scout for Island Records in 1993.
In 1995 he joined the South West London based Beggars Group where his first signing was Glaswegian band The Delgados.
Horrox moved to 4AD in the year 2000 where he has worked closely with artists such as Blonde Redhead, The Breeders, TV On The Radio, Scott Walker, Beirut, Johann Johannson, Bon Iver, Daughter, Bing & Ruth and Aldous Harding. In recent years he has overseen the development of a recording studio under the 4AD offices where D.D Dumbo recorded the Triple J album of the year "Utopia Defeated". Horrox also works with artists such as Empress Of and Alice Boman who are signed to the publishing company 4AD Songs. Horrox hosts a show on NTS Radio every other Monday from 6 - 7pm GMT.
