Sled Island returns as a better than ever version of itself from June 22nd -26th. Our prairie cousin is celebrating its 10th birthday and we couldn’t be happier to be a part of it! The five-day festival presents over 250 bands, film, art, comedy and more and we want to make it pleasantly easy for you to follow us everywhere in Calgary and see the best shows. Don’t be shy to say hi! Here’s where to find us:
2) Angel Olsen
We probably don’t have to tell you about this one, but this is a must! We are so excited to have Angel grace us with her powerful voice at POP this September, so Calgary, please take advantage of this.
Wed June 22 - 9:00PM at Central United Church
CRi has been the talk of the town in Montreal. Producer Christophe Dubé often collaborates with other up and coming local singers such as Ouri and Mind Bath to put the cherry on top of his house tracks.
Sat June 25 - 11:00PM at The HiFi Club
4) Johnny de Courcy
We love this very accurate bio: “Born metal but learned to love baroque, pop and grunge? You might have a lot in common with Johnny de Courcy. Leaving metal titans Black Wizard in 2011, de Courcy lives in the Venn diagram at the center of Kurt Cobain, PJ Harvey and Louis XIV.”

Fri 24 5:30PM at Les 17 / Secret Eight
6) Psychic TV
Yesssss. Another confirmation that great festivals think alike.

She was a huge Late Night highlight at POP Montreal last year and really stood out as a lady who brings the party. Also, just look at that press pic! #kale

“If you can appreciate a good riff possessed by a murderous poltergeist or just plain love a weird sock hop, you’ve found the band you didn’t know you needed.” –Sled Island

The fourtet make the perfect soundtrack to fuel mischeif, such as blowing bubble gum into someone else's hair.
