Letícia Tórgo is a writer, cultural producer, and digital entrepreneur. She offers mentorship for artists, online courses and she also helps people to create their own first online business from scratch.
She will be talking about connecting with your audience in the digital age.
Ohara Hale is an Earth/Internet based multidisciplinary and multi-dimensional creative. She is a visual artist, art director, published author and illustrator of books and comics for children and older children too ;), and a singer/songwriter/musician with a bunch of bands, recordings, and shows under her asteroid belt. Sometimes she is doing a lot of stuff and sometimes she doesn't do anything at all which is actually doing a lot of something that is quite nice ie: look at clouds, watch stars, day and night dream, read.
She will discuss staying inspired and motivated as a freelance artist.
Widney Bonfils joins SOCAN after working as Artist & Repertoire Representative at 31 East Inc., a well-known label and publishing company located in downtown Montréal. There, he oversaw recording projects for artists such as Alx Veliz, Keshia Chante, and Rymz, among many more, and successfully planned and executed songwriting camps and workshops in the U.K. and Montréal. Along with having his finger on the pulse of Québec's emerging music scene, Widney has a deep knowledge of the Francophone music market, and connections within the community at large. Widney also served as Business Development Director and Account Executive at an information technology research and advisory company, Gartner Inc., recruiting clients and providers while promoting the company's services. He holds a degree in Communication Marketing from the University of Québec in Montréal (UQAM).
He will be talking about music licensing organizations and copyright.
Pamela Hart is a Montreal based sound technician and musician who has been touring and working in the music industry for over 15 years. She is currently working as a front of house live sound technician, running a live sound training program and arranging and directing a chorus.
She will be tackling the sound industry for musicians and technicians.
