Art and Anti-Gentrification Movements

Gratuit | Free

The concept of the creative city has become a buzzword and a contentious template used by municipal governments around the globe in their contemporary urban planning. And indeed, creative economies are often at odds with the needs and demands of a city’s population. This panel discussion moderated by James Oscar will gather luminaries in both the arts and in anti-gentrification initiatives to explore how artists and citizen-driven initiatives can use their skills and knowledge to create radical spaces that respond to the needs of the communities they inhabit.
