POP Montreal will be accompanying two of Montreal's hottest bands, Pelada and Essaie pas, to bring their raw and vibrant energy on a dance worthy three-stop tour in Mexico City and its surroundings.
Montréal electronic duo, Pelada, have captivated audiences with their live performances that blend Chicago house and Detroit techno with more abstract & abrasive club music. Vocalist Chris Vargas and producer Tobias Rochman explore themes of power, surveillance, and social, environmental, and gender politics with lyrics delivered in Spanish.
For pulsating electronic dance music, Marie Davidson and Pierre Guerineau of the French-Canadian duo Essaie pas have it covered. Often compared to the music sounds of the 1991 Berlin club scene, Essaie Pas explore themes of fantasy and obsession though sensually delivered lyrics.
POP Montreal is proud to collaborate with both Pelada and Essaie Pas on their Latin America debut.
