Yves Pierre (New York)
Compagnie: agent
ICM agent Yves C. Pierre has built a career broadening the visibility of artists like Migos and Lil Yachty. Born and raised in Brooklyn, the daughter of Haitian immigrants carried her love for music onto college and eventually around the globe. While attending the University of Maryland, she became a college rep for Def Jam Records and found her future. Pierre's two decade career began at Roc-A-Fella Records––home to ascending rap star named Jay-Z. Learning from hip-hop's hottest independent label shaped Pierre for her next position in Def Jam's sales department. After two years, she transitioned to the marketing division where she excelled for three more years. Her expertise and guidance solidified her as an integral piece to management teams for artists, producers, and writers such as Ne-Yo, The-Dream and Electric Red. In 2012, Pierre became an assistant at ICM. She was soon promoted to coordinator and eventually an agent by 2016. She has since raised the notoriety of female acts like Leikeli47, Baby Rose and Rapsody. Billboard has consistently sung Pierre's praises––2017 (40 Under 40), 2018 (Women In Music), and 2019 (Women In Music). Yves C. Pierre was also recognized as one of the 2019 Hip Hop & R&B Power Players.
