HEY THERE FRIENDS!  Are you passionate about supporting emerging artists, building community and a vibrant cultural event?  YES, of course you are!  POP Montreal invites you to consider becoming a board candidate!

What is POP Montreal?

POP Montreal is a charitable organization that champions independence in the arts through its annual festival and year-round cultural events. Each year the festival presents emerging and celebrated artistic talents from around the world, with over 200 bands and 200 multidisciplinary artists showcased to audiences of 25,000+.

Mandates of POP Montreal

1. Produce an annual music festival.

2. Promote emerging artists to new audiences.

3. Program local and international talent together.

 Board Structure

The board is a collective of 7-11 members and does not get involved in day-to-day operations. It includes officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Each term is one year and can be renewed. Members are expected to participate in at least one of the following committees; PR/Government Relations, Governance & Nominations, Sponsorships/Fundraising and Finance.

Expectations

– Represent POP as an ambassador.

– Collaborate with our managers and practice participative leadership by helping contribute to the long term well  being and sustainability of the festival. 

We encourage Indigenous people, people of colour, people living with disabilities, LGBTQI people, women, and/or members of other groups who are underrepresented in management positions to apply. We are committed to creating an organization as diverse as our audiences.
