Kyle LaValley

She/her. Kyle’s passion for live music was ignited early in Metro Detroit photographing bands. She moved to Chicago in the early Aughts where she documented the indie party scene and punk rockers, often finding her way into late night escapades backstage. In 2009 Kyle relocated to Denton, Texas where she became the Creative Director of 35 Denton music festival. The festival garnered an award winning reputation in the DFW scene. Kyle then returned to Chicago to work for the Windish Agency before beginning her buying career at Majestic Live in Madison, WI. From there she cut her teeth in Nashville buying shows at Mercy Lounge, Cannery Ballroom and the High Watt. Currently Kyle is the Head of Programming for Chicago’s premiere small room Sleeping Village; known for progressive programming and first time to market exclusives as well as inventive underplays. Kyle is on the board of Sustain Chicago Music, and is the Head of Programming for Logan Square Arts Festival. She loves discovering new music and working with developing artists.
