atelier DNHN

Atelier DNHN is first and foremost a tribute to local craftsmanship. Since September 2019, every piece is imagined, created and made in Montreal from second-hand clothing, fabric scraps and end-of-series fabric. Reclaimed materials are transformed into a variety of garments, caps, hats and accessories, all unique and genderless, inspired by work uniforms, sports and military aesthetics. Our production is rooted in ethical and ecological practices, and each creation is made with the utmost care, in our Montreal workshop.

More than a recycling of textiles, our craftsmanship revisits an industrial past, blending it with timeless influences and handmade know-how.

The name denhien refers to the denier, a textile unit of measurement, symbolizing the unity and thread that binds each creation together. Each piece follows this thread: adding value to existing garments by creatively transforming them to breathe new life into them, and putting our own stamp on them.

The acronym DNHN embodies the values of our workshop: Diversity, Nuance, Human, Native.
