I started making jewelry because I was passionate about jewelry myself. It was then that an Indigenous friend taught me the beading technique. However, it’s essential for me to stress that it was never my intention to culturally appropriate this technique. On the contrary, I have explored an unconventional approach by combining this technique with recycled lace, natural stones and metal pieces that I cut and shape in my own way. Recycled lace adds an ethical dimension that’s close to my heart. The result: jewelry with an ethnic, modern, bohemian and chic style. They’re different and original, according to the feedback I’ve received 🙂
