Bilak Jewelry

My name is Wasselena Bilak, Ukrainian and French by origin, I arrived in Montreal in 2014 and created my brand Bilak in 2018 after a career in audiovisual production between France and here.

There is something magical about making objects by hand: I believe that intention permeates the object.
To make my pieces in precious metals, I mainly work with the lost wax process, it is my preferred medium for its sensuality, its naive and charming finish. Lately, I also integrate hand-hammered pieces, a forging work where we transform the metal directly.

For me, jewelry is a unique medium of expression; intimate, at the crossroads of the tangible and the enigmatic.

I am proud to be part of the contemporary Montreal jewelry scene, its dynamism allows me to evolve beyond the boundaries of traditional jewelry.

My interests in science and metaphysics push me to link concepts and symbols in my talismanic quality creations.
