After 25 years in visual effects for cinema, during which I kept multiple manual practices, both artisanal and artistic, painting, dyeing, sewing, my need to work with my hands finally found its place. I met pottery in 2019. Three years later, I decided it had to take a prominent place in my life. I worked on it from technical readings to workshops, devoting more and more time to it. A place at Minéral Coop allowed me to concretize this need and take a step aside leaving the necessary space to devote myself to ceramics. Since then, I shape pots inspired by the shapes of vegetables and fruits that I harvest and consume. Each season, I select the edible plants that become ephemeral molds for my pieces: peppers, squash, celery transform into cups, bowls, plates or salad bowls. The container takes its shape from the content, creating a dialogue between what nourishes and what welcomes. My pieces are glazed only on the inside, to welcome food. The outer part remains bare, polished with stone, valuing the texture of the earth. Inspired by the slowness of gestures and respect for the living, I seek to pay tribute to the work of farmers and to emphasize the importance of our links with the nourishing earth.
