Puces POP
Blanche Renarde
Initially trained as a graphic designer, I have always been drawn to art in many of its forms, and drawing in particular. After graduating and working in graphic design for a few years in my early twenties in France, I decided to train in tattooing, a profession I have been practicing full-time in Montreal for over 8 years now. I created my own tattoo shop, Peaches, over 3 years ago, located on the plateau.
Alongside this passionate work, I continue to practice many other forms of art and crafts such as sewing, crochet, ceramics, painting, etc. That’s why I would like to participate in Puces Pop at the end of this year; I wish to broaden my field of skills and offer things other than my tattoo services. The products I would describe as “classic” that I will offer are prints of different sizes (tabloid, letter, cards) and different techniques (risography, inkjet printing) as well as stickers from my drawings and/or paintings. I would also like to offer originals (canvases or other supports). I will also offer a large selection of small pendants and brooches/pins made from ceramics and hand-painted, as well as a selection of slightly larger objects (wall decorations, small vases, trinkets, etc.) still in ceramics and hand-painted. And finally (this item is not in the attached photos), I would like to offer textile art (pouches, clutches, small bags) that would combine sewing, linocut printing, and embroidery, which would allow me to highlight my taste for sewing while incorporating my drawings through printing thanks to linocut on these hand-sewn objects.
I have only participated in one small local market a few years ago but I really hope to be able to participate in this market as I believe it is the best one in Montreal, the one I go to every edition to discover more and more new talents.
