Clerel

A natural-born vocalist, singer & songwriter Clerel nurtured his taste for melody in his coastal hometown of Douala, Cameroon, where he grew up listening to music from his parents’ record collection. While attending university, a visit to the Stax-Volt Museum in Memphis marked a turning point in the life of the young music lover, initiating his love story with soul music, which became an integral part of his musical expression. Since pursuing his career professionally, Clerel has been featured in Complex Canada, NUVO Magazine, Exclaim!, and featured on shows as The Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert, as part of 2023 Fête du Canada Radio Canada and Télé-Québéc’s new Plaza Plaisir . In 2023, Clerel performed at his first headlining show during the Montreal International Jazz Festival and had the opportunity to open for Noah Reid’s.

Clerel released an EP titled Kaleidoscope in early 2024 and is currently working on 3 projects, 2 small ep and his first LP for 2026
