Cure-Pipe

Saguenay, QC

Cure-Pipe is the project of singer-songwriter Thomas Dakin, who surrounds himself with talented collaborators to create a totally exploded and gripping musical experience. Psychedelic rock and garage pop blend effortlessly with classic rock and hyperpop to create a recipe that’s surprising, a little grimy, but above all, totally real. Thomas doesn’t do things by halves. With Cure-Pipe, he gives himself away completely, without compromise. There are artists who force us to stop and take the time to listen. Thomas is one of them.

In 2021, following the release of his debut album, Mazeless Loudness, Thomas and his band toured throughout Quebec. Music lovers were quickly won over by the presence and intensity of this young artist, strongly inspired by the psychedelic aesthetic. With the album Le Pire, released in 2022 with the support of Soluté Records, Cure-Pipe took a pop turn while remaining true to their garage roots.

The year 2023 marks an important turning point in Thomas’s career, as the album J’avais quickly caught the attention of music lovers and industry professionals alike. As a result, Cure-Pipe is now positioned as an original and promising artist on the Quebec music scene. After a busy year marked by an appearance in the Francouvertes semi-finals, GAMIQ nominations and a European mini-tour, Cure-Pipe is now pumped up and ready to feed music lovers pure Saguenay fat with his new album: J’ai trouvé Jésus.
