Ida Toninato

Ida Toninato is a saxophonist, composer and virtual reality director. Her artistic practice is deployed in the creation of hybrid, electronic, instrumental and interactive sound universes. Her most recent album, We Become Giants (Dragon’s eye Recordings), was composed entirely in the water tank-turned-studio at the Tank Center for Sonic Arts in Colorado. Her collaborations lead her into the world of cinema, contemporary and improvised music as well as ambient music. Toninato is produced in North America, Brazil, Japan and Europe. She works mainly with the violist and composer Jennifer Thiessen and the composer and video artist Pierre-Luc Lecours. Toninato is an associate producer and director at Trebuchet Atelier, the exciting research and development arm of Trebuchet, a virtual reality video game creation studio.
