After fifteen years spent designing and making costumes for theater, I discovered the textile manufacturing method that is felting. It was love at first sight! Since then, I felt everything I can! Over the course of my explorations, I wanted to highlight this noble renewable material that is almost forgotten: wool. I have developed a multitude of products for my eco-responsible company IZZY POP such as felted soaps, jewelry and fashion accessories. As a lover of visual arts, I also use this technique to design canvases and greeting cards and I color my scarves using dyed fibers like paint. I use the same method for my jewelry collections and cute pouches. My double training as a designer and teacher in contemporary dance intermingles in my works and infuses them with movement. The integration of different fibers such as silk, linen and hemp gives my creations a rich textural component, hills and valleys to visit, a playground for light. We feel the impulse of the wind, the undulation of water and the passage of time. As with watercolor, there is always a magical transformation that takes place when drying that fascinates me and which transcends this idea of movement that is so dear to me.
