JASHIM

I am a non-binary Colombian multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal. I grew up in El Choko in the native and Afro-Colombian communities and in 2004, I immigrated to Canada. My work pursues the development of interactive technology and the creation of environments embedding cybernetic culture. I started producing and signing music in 2019 in the genres of Reggaeton, Cumbia, Punk and hip hop. What I call, post-reggaeton or what is called Neo-perreo. My goal for the future is to mix Intermedia Technologies and Immersive technologies with music. Going from video game worlds to bring to live into performances and visual representations in this new era of reggaeton and Art.
