Jashim
Jashim is a non-binary Colombian music artist based in Montreal, rooted in the Afro-Colombian and Indigenous cultures of El Chocó. Since immigrating to Canada in 2004, their practice has evolved into a bold musical exploration of post-reggaeton and the new era of Latin club sounds.
A pioneer in Montreal’s underground Latinx scene, their hybrid sound, where reggaeton collides with experimental textures and cybernetic aesthetics, has been featured byBillboard, ARCA’s Mutants Vol. 2, and Radio-Canada.
They’ve played at Boiler Room Toronto and shared stages with Tayhana, Rosa Pistola, ZUTZUT, and more. Blending immersive tech and music, Jashim is shaping a futuristic reggaeton narrative that pushes performance beyond the club and into digital and virtual realms.
