Joy is a Weapon DJs

JOY IS A WEAPON is a Montreal-based DJ event series founded by Peggy Hogan, Janette King, and Sarah Armiento. Rooted in the belief that joy is a survival tactic, the series creates intimate, high-energy spaces for people to gather, dance, and connect.

With a house-party aesthetic, each edition brings together local DJs and artists and partners with a Montreal-based organization or community initiative. Inspired by the ideas of Audre Lorde and bell hooks, JOY IS A WEAPON sees nightlife as a space for community, expression, and collective joy.
