La Chouchouterie MTL

My name is Ariane and I started La Chouchouterie MTL in 2021 during the pandemic. I was working as a nurse when I started. I am still a nurse, but I have always had a creative side that I was looking to exploit. I have loved sewing since I was young, so I decided to start again by making hair scrunchies. I brought them to my work to my nurse colleagues to give away and that's when one of my colleagues gave me the idea to start a small business to sell them. I started selling them to people around me, then on Instagram. Then, I created my online store and started participating in markets to share my creations. After the hair scrunchies, I started making other hair products (scrunchie barrettes and mini scrunchies for children). Finally, when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, I also decided to start making a few baby products, including pacifier clips. In short, what started as a simple hobby became bigger than I thought by participating in bigger and bigger events.
