La poteuse

My name is Camille, the artist behind La poteuse. I launched my business in April 2021, a few months after making the decision to leave Montreal for the countryside. My project has grown more and more in recent years, to my great joy. I am located in the heart of the welcoming village of Bic with a very small 200 square foot workshop located on the street. I also offer various pottery classes and workshops for tourists and the Rimouski community.

Between contracts for businesses in the region, orders for boutiques across Quebec, my collections of unique pieces in my small boutique section and on my website, I like to draw inspiration from the nature that surrounds me, magnificent views of the Bic and the movements of the St. Lawrence River.

My artistic approach also stems from this since it is important to me to create an aesthetic universe around the different collections that I create. I was able to develop certain classic pieces that come back regularly but also have fun according to the seasons and my desires.

I am currently working on a new collection focused more on decoration than on utilitarian tableware such as hanging lamps, table lamps, shelves and others.
