Laura MacLean, designer under the name Laume, is a passionate ceramic artist whose work is distinguished by the harmony between the utilitarian and the decorative. Originally from Switzerland, Laura grew up surrounded by a love for raw materials and the beauty of nature. It was when she was little in her aunt’s workshop that she first explored the sensations of clay. This memory pushed him years later to reconnect with this medium.

Trained at the Bonsecours Ceramic Center in Montreal, she quickly developed a unique style, mainly using stoneware. His creations are characterized, among other things, by textured ice, which not only adds captivating visual and sensory dimensions, but which makes each piece unique due to their random appearance. This uncertainty is precisely what fuels Laura’s passion for her art: each firing is an adventure, each piece is a surprise.
