Michelle Houjeily, founder of MI_ANIMALE, began learning jewelry making seven years ago in Brooklyn, and later continued her training at an art school in Mexico and at the Montreal Jewellery School. Beyond learning different techniques, each experience introduced her to new cultures and perspectives on the craft. MI_ANIMALE creates handmade jewelry in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal). Meaning "half animal," the brand explores the meeting point between raw strength and delicacy through a minimalist aesthetic with a subtly punk edge.
