Oraculum
Mélissa, operating under the alias Oraculum, evolves within the arts and culture sphere as an illustrator, art director, graphic designer, and visual artist. Holding degrees in Visual and Media Arts as well as Graphic Design from UQAM, she deploys a multidisciplinary practice where instinct, emotion, and graphic composition intersect.
Her work has been presented in several Montreal galleries, notably at Livart, and she has taken part in numerous major artistic and cultural events. In 2024, her visual universe expanded into large-scale public spaces with murals created for the Osheaga, ÎleSoniq, and Sous Zéro festivals.
Through a fusion of abstraction, organic shapes, and vibrant palettes, her creations reflect a search for reconnection—both with oneself and with nature. Mental health, memory, and personal introspection are explored through the lens of medium hybridity, bridging origins and roots. Marked by sensitivity and occasional touches of humor, her practice invites an intuitive and sensory reading of the world around us.
