Pimenta Boreal is a new project created by Bianca Rocha and Oonga, exploring the guilty pleasure music of Brega, the sexy, campy, kitschy dance sound from northern Brazil.
A highly accomplished singer who first performed on TV in Brazil at the age of 10, Bianca brings a strong enviro-feminist lens to her songs, aiming to break taboos, combining irreverence and sensitivity in her songs sung in Portuguese and French. Oonga brings the production anchored in tropical bass,
This is a brand new project being created in collaboration with tropical punk rock label MTL Sauce Piquante. A first EP will come out in fall 2026.
