Pointe Noire

Originally from Tadoussac and a member of the Wolastoqiyik Wahsipekuk First Nation, Marie-France draws inspiration from the beauty of her natural environment as well as from the stories and traditions of her people, which she celebrates through her art. Rooted in her origins and nourished by the narrative richness of the Woodlands style, her work reflects an artistic vision intimately linked to her traditions and personal experiences. Using a felt-tip pen technique, she transposes her creations onto various wood, paper, and other media. Her artistic approach highlights the profound connection between animals, nature, and her cultural identity.
