<p>Poolgirl is a five piece rock band formed in 2023 in Montreal. Since releasing the demo “is this it???” in September 2024, featuring the songs Boy Destroyer and Fetishwear, Poolgirl have been playing shows around Montreal, from diy basement gigs to venues such as La Sotterenea and La Sala Rossa. Though the band only began playing live in January, Poolgirl shows consistently bring out a fun crowd of friends to dance, mosh and sing (or scream) along. Poolgirl’s sound has been compared to bands like Snail Mail and Bratmobile, with some riot grrl as well as pop and indie rock influences.</p>


<p>Poolgirl est un band rock de cinq musicien·nes formé en 2023 à Montréal. Depuis la sortie de leur démo is this it ??? en septembre 2024, comprenant les chansons « Boy Destroyer » et « Fetishwear », Poolgirl s’est produit en spectacle un peu partout à Montréal, que ce soit dans des sous-sols DIY ou dans des salles telles que La Sotterenea et La Sala Rossa. Bien que le groupe n’ait commencé à jouer sur scène qu’en janvier, les spectacles de Poolgirl attirent toujours une foule trippante d’ami·es qui dansent, qui mosh et qui chantent à tue-tête. Le son de Poolgirl a été comparé à celui de groupes comme Snail Mail et Bratmobile, avec des influences riot grrl, pop et indie rock.</p>
