Ryder Havdale

Montreal, Quebec

Ryder Havdale is a musician, a music industry staple, a software developer–and more than anything–an expert at bringing people together. With his mid-2000s indie rock band The Mohawk Lodge, Havdale assembled an international network of musicians of which he was the orbital centre, toured over 15 countries. He released 50 albums for bands he loved with White Whale Records and in recent years has been working with Broken Social Scene. Now, Havdale’s latest project, the music streaming marketplace HELIOS, unites musicians, artists, fans, and creators under one digital roof, giving hope to musicians in a time defined by malignant challenges. Havdale has seen the music industry from every angle: as much a musician as a manager, and as much a label-head as a music lover, HELIOS is the perfect amalgamation of all of Havdale’s experiences, abilities, loves, and strengths, involving colleagues within the inspirational community of people he has single-handedly cultivated across the world during his expansive and multifaceted career.
