Emerging from Montreal’s DIY scene, Sasha Cay makes songs that skirt the edges of grunge, singer-songwriter and shoegaze, citing inspiration from Nick Drake, Broadcast, Guided By Voices & Unwound alike.
Their sophomore record is in the works, following 2023’s debut ‘Spin’ which covered themes of violence, recovery, and grief with a tapestry of distorted classical guitars, candid vocals and off-kilter combinations of electric leads.
