Trang’s Trash Art

Trang Ta is a Vietnamese artist who has lived in a few places, had different experiences
people’s perspectives on identity, ethnicity and their environment. Trang wants to do his part, and his best, to show that everything, intangible or tangible, is not binary, that there is a story, a story for all things encountered in the present moment. The materials for her multidisciplinary artisanal practices are mostly found, recovered or exchanged, because she loves confining her practice to this idealism. Trang’s creative process in the visual arts is often therapeutic and mindful as it allows him to ground himself through a hands-on approach. It’s a gentle reminder for its viewers to return to nature, slowness, balance and simplicity.
