POP Symposium and Film POP are thrilled to present an artist talk by d/Deaf filmmaker and multi-disciplinary artist Alison O’Daniel. The director of The Tuba Thieves, will discuss her ground-breaking feature and artistic practice, which includes sculpture, installation, and performance. O’Daniel’s work builds a visual, aural, and haptic vocabulary that reveals (or proposes) a politics of sound that exceeds the auditory. This talk will feature ASL translation.
