Waahli
Waahli is a Montreal-based artist of Haitian origin, skilfully blending reggae, hip hop and Haitian funk to take us on a journey to the four corners of the globe.
Since 2004, Waahli has been a member of the hip-hop group Nomadic Massive. Her hip-hop-influenced music is defined by a distinctive Afro-Caribbean touch, with powerful ancestral rhythms. His music is accompanied by committed lyrics reflecting his reality of yesterday and today. He sings in English, French and Haitian Creole.
Cinsi
After numerous recording projects and over a hundred concerts with the group 100 Crew and various collectives (Vitchen & Cinsî, Le Centième Orkestra, etc.), Cinsî has released two more personal projects, in close collaboration with Yoetc for the instrumentals.
In two words, we could say “rap on samples”. There’s also plenty of room for scratch with Djohndoe. There are also a few touches of electronic music thanks to Yoetc. On stage, Cinsî is accompanied by Sétuite on microphones, Yoetc on machines and Djondoe on turntables.
His projects “Ici et maintenant” and “Au moins” are available on all streaming platforms.
“C’est pas la pop urbaine, plutôt du rap rural.
