We are offering two summer internships this year through CANADA SUMMER JOBS: Advertising & Promotions Coordinator and Administrative Assistant!

Advertising & Promotions Coordinator

  • June 1st – September 4th, 2026
  • 30 hrs/week 
  • $20.00 /hr

Administrative Assistant

  • June 8th – September 4th, 2026
  • 30 hrs/week 
  • $18.00 /hr

The selected candidate MUST be eligible for Canada Summer Jobs.

To be eligible, candidates must be:

  • Between 15 and 30 years of age*.
  • A Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or someone who has been officially granted refugee protection in Canada and legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number.

*The candidate must be at least 15 years of age at the beginning of the employment period. The candidate may be more than 30 years of age at the end of the employment period as long as the youth was 30 at the beginning of the employment period.

Advertising & Promotions Coordinator

Working in the POP Montreal office (hybrid work environment), the Advertising & Promotions Coordinator will oversee and coordinate the production of the 2026 festival printed program under the supervision of POP’s Creative Director.
The key responsibilities managed by the Advertising & Promotions Coordinator will be:

  • Ad Sales: Sell ad space to previous buyers and find new clients to purchase ad space;
  • Track ad sales and invoicing: Communicate with buyers about specs and delivery dates; coordinate with potential ad buyers who wish to establish trade partnerships with the festival. Relay ads to layout artists and graphic designers;
  • Program content: Oversee and coordinate program content generation, including festival information, POP Segments write-ups, staff information, artist bios, schedule, and festival map; oversee and coordinate translation of all program content; oversee editing and proofreading of program content;
  • Program Layout: Oversee and coordinate graphic designers and layout artists. Work on-site with the program team from August 17th – 21st 2026 (must be available on these dates);
  • Program Production: Oversee and coordinate the printing of the program within the approved budget and timeline, in collaboration with the Creative Director;
  • Program Distribution: Oversee and coordinate the distribution of the completed program, in collaboration with the Marketing Assistant; contact previous carriers and establish new relationships with potential carriers; coordinate the program pick-up and drop-off;
  • Project Management: Plan and adhere to a timeline for deliverables and deadlines.

Administrative Assistant

Working in the POP Montreal office (hybrid work environment), the Administrative Assistant will play a key role in supporting the Artist Relations Director with festival ticketing strategies and audience services.They will assist the Creative Director and Marketing Director with the festival’s printed program, on-line ad sales, website listings, the festival app, and other administrative tasks.

The key responsibilities managed by the Administrative Assistant will be:

  • Overseeing ticketing systems, managing event listings, ensuring an intuitive and accessible user experience, implementing event updates throughout all promotional channels, liaising with festival attendees, and other administrative tasks that ensure the success of the festival.
  • Printed Program: Assist with the compilation (artist bios) of the program, printing logistics, and layout/editing. Work on-site with the program team from August 17th – 21st 2026 (must be available on these dates).
