About POP Montreal

POP Montreal is an annual not-for-profit curated cultural festival that champions independence in the arts. Each year, the festival presents hundreds of bands and multidisciplinary artists from around the world, reaching audiences of more than 25,000. POP Montreal will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2026. 

Mandate

• Produce an annual music festival.
• Promote emerging artists to new audiences.
• Present local and international talent together. 

Board Structure
The Board is composed of 7 to 13 members and provides strategic oversight and governance, rather than day-to-day management. Officer roles include President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Each term is one year and can be renewed.
Board members are expected to serve on at least one committee: PR/Government Relations, Governance & Nominations, Sponsorships/Fundraising, or Finance.

Expectations

• Represent POP Montreal as an ambassador within the community.
• Uphold confidentiality and a duty of loyalty.
• Collaborate with our managers and practice participative leadership.
